BillsMafia Extra Credit: Sal Capaccio on inside v outside zone blocking schemes

As fans of the Buffalo Bills, we are blessed (and spoiled) to have a great group of people who cover the team for us. One of those fine folks, Sal Capaccio always brings something meaningful to the table for Bills fans.

On Wednesday Mr. Capaccio posted a helpful video explaining the difference between an inside zone blocking scheme versus an outside zone blocking scheme on the offensive line. For those of us who never played football, this video is golden.

Many thanks to Sal Capaccio, Donald Jones and their assistants for helping us understand the basic schematic differences on the offensive line. We look forward to sharing many more of these instructional videos with the BillsMafia FAMbase.

  1. Thanks for another article Robyn. That was a good, informative video from Sal. If the new blocking scheme helps Shady get more yards, then that’s great. If it doesn’t work and Shady is less productive, then I hope the coaches will adjust quickly instead of keep doing something that doesn’t work.

Training camp starts soon, should be interesting to see how the players do with the new coaches and schemes.
